Focused Groups

The Rock Group

This group in run by Community Learning (ALDD) in partnership with Hunts.Mind. The group meets once a week (Wednesdays) term-time only at the Medway Community Centre, Medway Road, Huntingdon, Cambs PE29 1SF [Map] from 11.00am to 1.30pm. The course is run over three terms, each term lasting 10 weeks and as this is a certificated course, there is an enrolment charge of £10 per term. If students are not sure whether this is the course for them, we invite people to a “taster” session to help make up their minds.

The aims of the course are to appreciate and respect each others taste in music whilst developing new skills along the way. Of course, having fun is essential too! If you have a particular musical interest or want to learn a new skill, do come along and share it with us.

Computer/Media/Newsletter group

This group meets every Thursday at The Limes, 24 New Street, St Neots, Cambs, PE19 1AJ [Map] from 12.30pm to 3.00pm. This group offers opportunities to develop and improve basic computer/media skills and is responsible for producing Hunts.Mind’s quarterly newsletter as well as maintaining this website!

Sports Group

This group meets up every Friday from 10.30am to 12.30pm (meeting point either at The Limes, 24 New Street, St Neots, Cambs, PE19 7AN or at the local Sports Centre). Sporting activities include Gym, Badminton, Squash, Bowling.

Environmental Allotment Group

In partnership with Huntingdon District Council and Dial Druglink, this group meets up on Tuedays from 10.00 until 12.00 noon and then 1.00pm until 3.00pm at Rowley Allotments, Mill Lane, St Neots. The group show off their skills in growing organic fruit, vegetables and flowers. All induction visits, individuals have to be accompanied by a member of staff.
