We are looking for motivated and dynamic individuals to join our team based in St Neots providing Mental Health Services in Huntingdonshire. The following opportunities have arisen:

Volunteers

We are looking for people who can spare some of their time assisting our Project Workers in providing our services effectively within the local community. Previous mental health experience desirable but is not essential. These voluntary positions offer the opportunity to gain recognised new experience, assisting in the shaping and expansion of a charitable organisation within the local community.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, we currently have the following vacancies available:

  • Drivers, especially for the St Neots, Ramsey and Sawtry areas
  • Facilitator to assist staff with running groups in Ramsey
  • Facilitator to assist staff with running groups in St Ives

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for any of the above vacancies and would like to know a little bit more, then please contact Sara Isaacs, Operational Development Manager. Alternatively, please complete an Application Form and Equal Opportunities Form and return to Sara Isaacs.

Evening Counsellors for Hunts Mind Counselling Service.

The Hunts Mind Counselling Service has thirteen voluntary counsellors working with different theoretical models from The Limes in St Neots and The Maple Centre at Huntingdon. The clients are mostly referred by local GP’s or are self referred. Some counsellors are qualified, some are at the end of their university training.

We need counsellors who can work in the evenings as we are finding people who are in full time employment are having to wait a considerable time before being seen.

We will consider counsellors who are still in training so long as they have some experience of one to one clinically supervised hours.

We offer travel expenses, supervision, induction, training and an opportunity to become part of a wonderful team of committed and professional counsellors providing relief to many people in the surrounding areas.

If you are interested please ring 01480 470 480 or e-mail Elisabeth Allan or Angela Hall

We are an equal opportunities employer and welcome applications from all sections of the community.
