Volunteers

In line with implementing our new Community Projects service, we are looking for people who can spare some of their time assisting our Project Workers in providing our services effectively within the local community. Previous mental health experience desirable but is not essential. These voluntary positions offer the opportunity to gain recognised new experience, assisting in the shaping and expansion of a charitable organisation within the local community.

We are particularly looking for people who live in the more rural areas of the county, especially Ramsey and Warboys.

We are also very keen to recruit more Group Facilitators and Drivers

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please contact the Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Evening Counsellors for Hunts Mind Counselling Service.

The Hunts Mind Counselling Service has thirteen voluntary counsellors working with different theoretical models from The Limes in St Neots and The Maple Centre at Huntingdon. The clients are mostly referred by local GP’s or are self referred. Some counsellors are qualified, some are at the end of their university training.

We need counsellors who can work in the evenings as we are finding people who are in full time employment are having to wait a considerable time before being seen.

We will consider counsellors who are still in training so long as they have some experience of one to one clinically supervised hours.

We offer travel expenses, supervision, induction, training and an opportunity to become part of a wonderful team of committed and professional counsellors providing relief to many people in the surrounding areas.

If you are interested please ring 01480 470 480 or e-mail Donna Brown or Angela Hall

Hunts Mind is an Equal Opportunities Employer and would welcome those from Black and Minority Ethnic Communities.
